As the unprecedented Covid-19 situation continues and only essential travel is now permitted, the Government of Jersey has contracted with Blue Islands to maintain lifeline links between Jersey and the UK. Providing the service for essential workers and also repatriation purposes.

Senator Lyndon Farnham, Deputy Chief Minister & Minister for Economic Development, Tourism, Sport and Culture said: “Maintaining lifeline air links during the pandemic are imperative to ensure access to and from the island for essential work, medical and compassionate grounds. I would like to thank Blue Islands and commend all those working on the front line to maintain these essential services.”

The Government of Jersey require that passengers wishing book these services provide additional information via blueislands.com to identify the purpose for travel such as essential worker status or for medical, repatriation and compassionate reasons. The Government of Jersey will then provide eligible travellers with a unique code to book a qualifying seat at Blueislands.com.

Rob Veron, CEO Blue Islands said: “Blue Islands is proud to work with the Government of Jersey to ensure the provision of essential lifeline services between Jersey and the UK during these unprecedented times.

“We would like to thank our customers for their patience, understanding and support during these challenging and uncertain times.”

For more information and to book see www.blueislands.com/travel; passengers already booked to fly on services during this period will be notified of any changes.
