Collaborate CI has further bolstered its Channel Islands business with the recent addition to the team of Rosie Allsopp as freelance editor and features writer.
She will oversee Collaborate’s growing expansion of online media platforms, in particular the launch of Wedding Eye CI later this month.
Rosie brings a wealth of experience, having worked for 20 years in communications. She trained as a journalist at the Press Association-affiliated Editorial Centre in Hastings and has spent the majority of her career working the Guernsey Press newspaper, where she first worked as a reporter and later as a desk head in the News, Business, Motoring and Features departments. She is a former editor of the Chamber of Commerce’s publication Contact magazine and worked for several years on Business Brief magazine.
“Writing and editing has always been my passion, so I’m delighted to be involved with the launch of Wedding Eye and to be working with Collaborate CI. It’s a great team to be a part of and I’m excited for the opportunities ahead,” she said.
Rosie’s addition to the team recognises the significant and sustained opportunities for growth in the Channel Islands media firm.
It follows Collaborate’s hiring of Nicci Martel and Cath McCook earlier in the year, and the expansion of the role fulfilled by journalist Tamara Timothy.
Julie Todd, Managing Director, said: “Collaborate’s Channel Islands business continues to grow in both size and strength, and the further recent additions to our team reflect the increased demand for our publications.
“With four Channel Island ‘Eye’ platforms: Business, Travel, Wedding and Legal Eye, together with our popular Guernsey Property and Construction magazine increasing in regularity, we look forward to a busy year.”
