Deloitte in the Islands & Gibraltar has announced 76 promotions across its four offices.
71 people have been promoted in the audit and advisory teams, with five promotions in tax across Jersey and Gibraltar.
The Guernsey office is celebrating 19 promotions, whilst 37 in Jersey have reached new career milestones. Eight staff have been promoted in the Isle of Man and 12 in Gibraltar .
The latest round of promotions enables the firm to build on the success seen since Deloitte’s offices in the Channel Islands, Gibraltar and the Isle of Man joined forces to create a single audit and advisory offering across the four offshore jurisdictions in 2021.
In Guernsey, Stuart Crowley has risen to the Associate Partner role in the audit team. He has more than 25 years of financial services experience in Guernsey, Jersey and Dublin and specialises in investment funds, private equity and insurance. As well as leading a portfolio of audit clients Stuart has significant advisory experience including listing work, internal audit and regulatory reviews. He leads the Guernsey marketing and business development strategy, which includes the Non-Executive Director (NED) briefing programme, a bi-annual series of lunch seminars briefing the Channel Island NED community on current tax, accounting and regulatory matters.
Nadine Cockburn in Guernsey’s audit team, Caroline Honeycombe in Jersey’s advisory team and Charlotte Vale in the Isle of Man’s advisory team have been promoted to Director.
Nadine started with the firm as a bursary student in 2009, completing work experience during university holidays before joining as a graduate in 2012. Nadine completed her ACCA qualification with the firm, qualifying in 2015. Nadine specialises in the audit of real estate entities, including listed vehicles and pan-European structures. She leads the real estate sector across the Islands and Gibraltar as well as leading student recruitment for the Islands and Gibraltar.
Caroline has been promoted to Director in Deloitte’s cyber risk practice after more than four years with the firm. Caroline is the cyber lead for the Channel Islands and cyber incident response lead and detect & respond (security operations) lead.
Charlotte Vale has been promoted from Senior Manager to Director. With over 15 years of experience in accounting, audit and assurance, she qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW in 2015. Charlotte has extensive experience working with some of the largest financial services institutions in the Crown Dependencies, UK and Internationally. She currently leads Deloitte’s advisory and assurance offering in the Isle of Man. She is passionate about sustainability and the Isle of Man’s journey to net zero and preventing further biodiversity loss and supports clients in their own ESG objectives and assurance.
In the audit and advisory teams, Sami Al Shaar, Lynette Kutadza and Aaron Mungaela in Guernsey and Bowale Lawal, Paidamoyo Marongwe and Marion Buxton in Jersey have been promoted to Senior Manager.
Across the Crown Dependencies, 15 have been promoted to Manager and 35 have been promoted to Assistant Manager.
Miranda Smith has been promoted to Associate Director in the tax team after six years with the firm. Miranda specialises in providing tax advisory services to owner-managed multinational businesses and has a particular focus on partnerships. She frequently advises on cross-border remote working and is involved in several projects that are driven by the OECD’s Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) agenda.
In Jersey, Mairtin Tucker and Emma Dunkerton have also been promoted to Manager in the tax team.
