A Jersey marine services company is celebrating after winning an award for Outstanding Performance in the Volvo Penta ‘Partnership for Professional’ challenge 2017.
Seapower Marine was up against all Volvo Penta dealerships in the UK and was judged on marketing, training, part and engine sales, alongside levels of customer service.
Johnathon Pereira, Managing Director, Seapower Marine said: :This is an absolute achievement for the team at Seapower Marine and we would like to thank our team for all their hard work, and thank our loyal customer base and fellow traders for their continued support.”
“This is a very positive step for a young company and brings a new level of service and professionalism to the marine industry in the Channel Islands.”
Seapower Marine took on the Volvo Penta dealership in the island in October 2015, less than a year after Johnathon set up the marine engineering firm. Volvo Penta is used by 80% of yachts and powerboats in Jersey, and the Swedish firm holds a similar proportion of the global market for engines.
Johnathon said: “People in the Channel Islands take great pride in maintaining their boats to the highest standards, something which fits perfectly with our ethos for providing exceptional customer service. Reaching this position in the awards when we’re up against over 40 UK firms is testimony of the high standards we are offering customers.”
Seapower Marine is also the authorised dealer for Caterpillar and Tohatsu engines, and Smartliner boats. Located in La Collette harbour, the company also offers a full boat maintenance service, co-ordinating boat hoisting, cleaning, polishing and electronics, and has a well-stocked marine chandlery.
Seapower Marine has also recently been appointed MAN marine dealer for the Channel Islands, providing a dedicated, factory-trained team, to sell and service modern MAN engines.
