Five million holidaymakers could be set for flight mayhem this Easter amid a planned walkout by airport staff across Spain and the Balearics.
Around 60,000 ground handling staff in all airports across Spain are set to go on strike starting on the Saturday of the Easter weekend for an indefinite period.
The Spanish airport workers’ unions, Unión Sindical Obrera (USO) and Unión General de Trabajadores (UGT), say they are planning to negotiate with their staff.
But passengers have been warned that if no deal is reached, the strike will go ahead as planned.
