Airline easyJet will not be charging passengers a flight change fee.
The carrier will continue to operate its flight schedule out of Jersey but should travellers wish to defer a booking, it can be changed online without incurring a fee, although a difference in fare may need to be paid.
This applies to all existing and new bookings until further notice.
‘Where we’ve been required to cancel flights, customers will be able to transfer to an alternative flight free of charge or receive a refund. And where all flights have had to be cancelled due to local authority guidance – in Italy, for example – we are operating rescue flights to ensure passengers can return home,’ the company said in a statement.
Travel plans can be changed at the Manage Bookings section on easyJet.com. Calling the easyJet Contact Centre will incur an administration charge of £5 applied per person, per flight. However, this charge will be waived for passengers needing special assistance when booking.
