Gin and caviar are on the menu for the ultimate in gourmet dining luxury at Tassili at Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa.
The Four AA Rosette restaurant at the AA Five Star St Helier Hotel is hosting an exclusive evening on Thursday 2 May in association with Salcombe Distilling Company, Devon based creators of hand-crafted gins.
Diners will feast on a six course tasting menu created by Tassili’s Executive Chef Nicolas Valmagna featuring some stunning gourmet delicacies and showcasing some of the very best caviar.
The dishes include Jersey oysters served with foragED sea vegetables, finger lime and Ebène caviar followed by ‘Bonbon’ lobster with fennel, yuzu gel and Beluga caviar.
Best end Spring lamb is teamed with violet artichoke, Oscietra caviar and wild garlic foam.
Salcombe’s gin expert James Le Grys will treat guests to a special gin masterclass as they enjoy a variety of gins including gin cocktail, gin and tonic and straight gin.
A gin distilled especially for the night will be served with a strawberry-flavoured dessert created with a balsamic vinegar caviar, basil crémeux and gariguette sorbet.
Commenting on the evening, Thusitha Sumanasekera, Hotel Manager at Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa said: “Nicolas and his team have created an exquisite menu for what promises to be a fantastic feast showcasing some of the very best caviar. Diners will be given a small box of chocolate caviar to take home, a mouth-watering memento of a special fine dining experience.
Tickets for the exclusive Gin and Caviar event are available for £125 per person.
