Small Fakers – The UK’s only tribute to the Small Faces + Electric Head
Calling all Mods & Rockers!
Coming to Jersey this Saturday night local promoters Bubblebrain Records welcome The worlds No1 tribute to 60’s legends The small faces to the Drift nightclub at the Royal Yacht.
Flying in for one night only The Small Fakers will bring the ultimate small faces experience to the island for the first time since the iconic band played their last ever gig on March 3, 1969 at the Springfield Hall in St Helier.
Small Fakers formed in 2007 and are the UK’s only tribute to mod legends the sensational Small Faces.Hits galore at every show including Tin soldier, sha la la la Lee, All Or Nothing, Itchycoo Park, Lazy Sunday and many more mixed in with B-sides and rare gems from the Small Faces’ back catalogue. A visual and musical feast for all Small Faces fans.
Matt Bond aka Steve Marriott from the band tells us what we can expect for this phenomenal night of nostalgia: “Back in the day, most bands only used to perform for 25 minutes or so at each gig, so we’ve had to improvise our setlist while keeping the vibe of various Small Faces setlists over the years. Kicking off with the early singles, a Small Fakers show takes you through the best tracks from each LP as they were released, finishing off with the highlights from Ogdens Nut Gone Flake.”
The Bubblebrain DJ’s will provide a musical backdrop of Motown, Ska and Northern Soul jams. Plus, brand new Jersey supergroup Electric Head will be warming up the room with their eclectic style of rock’n’roll . So get down to the Drift at the Royal Yacht early and get those dancing feet ready for a treat.
