We are very excited and proud to welcome one of the greatest living blues icons to The Channel Islands for 5 very rare exclusive shows this March.

Joe Louis Walker, winner of a Grammy with Blues God BB King and the man who Aretha Franklin christened ‘The bluesman’ will be playing five unique intimate format shows with Jersey’s Giles Robson. They recorded together previously on Journeys To The Heart Of The Blues, the 2019 Blues Music Award Winning Album on Alligator Records and they will be performing tracks from that album as well a select programme of blues classics, Joe Louis Walker originals and a selection of gospel tunes reflecting Joe’s time in the Spiritual Corinthians Gospel Quartet.

In rare acoustic format and backed by the Channel Island’s own internationally acclaimed harmonica star Giles Robson, Joe will perform a very special intimate show in Suma’s beautiful dining room after you have enjoyed a drink upon arrival and a luxurious three course meal.

Joe and Giles recorded the 2019 Blues Music Award Winning album ‘Journeys To The Heart Of The Blues’ together. Released on Chicago’s Alligator Records and also featuring legendary pianist Bruce Katz. The album is considered one of the greatest pure blues albums of its time and was made a Downbeat Magazine album of the year and a Living Blues Album of the decade.

Joe and Giles will perform tracks for this album, amongst a select program of blues classics, Joe Louis Walker originals and a selection of Gospel tunes that reflect Joe’s time with The Spiritual Corinthians Gospel Quartet.
