Charitable Walk of Hope in memory of Elizabeth Borman

Worry. Anxiety. Depression.  Poor mental health in young people is on the rise.

The aim of this walk is to raise awareness of mental health in young people and to raise money for Youthful Minds – Mind Jersey project in Jersey.

This event is taking place on Saturday 20th of May 2023 to commemorate the one year anniversary of the tragic death of 15 year old Elizabeth Emily Borman.

All are welcome to participate, young and old.

Start Time: 10.00am, following a welcome by Natalia M Borman.

Duration: Approximately 1 hour.

End location: St Aubin Church on the Hill, Mont Les Vaux, where refreshments and cakes will be provided.  Prizes will be awarded for fastest and most courageous walkers, and for top fundraiser.  There will also be a short tribute to Elizabeth, and the opportunity to view a film of memories and to purchase a commemorative book.

Arrival by car: Parking at Noirmont Point car park.

Arrival by bus: Bus Route 12a, departing the bus station at 9:05am arrives at Ouaisnez Junction at 9:22, and it is then a short walk to Noirmont Point.

Fundraising

All participants are invited (but not obliged) to collect sponsorship for Mind Jersey – Youthful Minds project.  Donations can be made through Jersey Mind JustGiving page.  Please specify ‘Teenagers’ when detailing ‘Add a message of Support’.
