AJC anniversary ‘Charity Insights’ webinar

The final webinar in a series marking the Association of Jersey Charities’ (AJC) 50th anniversary will look at the key issues, challenges and opportunities facing the charity sector over the coming year, in Jersey and more widely.

Building on the success of the previous three ‘Charity Insights’ webinars, which looked at fundraising, effective partnerships and digital adoption, the fourth and final webinar will be entitled ‘Looking ahead to 2022: an evolving big picture for the third sector’ and will take place on Monday 17th January at 1 pm.

The quarterly ‘Charity Insights’ series was conceived last year as part of the AJC’s 50 th anniversary celebrations, to provide a platform for debate and prompt discussion around key topical areas impacting the charity space in Jersey.

During the webinar, a panel of experts will explore how the pandemic has resulted in long-term and permanent change for the third sector, assess other major drivers anticipated to shape the sector over the coming twelve months, and discuss how charities can gear themselves up to not only manage but thrive in a constantly evolving world.

Moderated by AJC Chairman Kevin Keen, panellists for the webinar include Dr Patricia Tumelty, Executive Director of Mind Jersey, Yvonne Corbin, Chief Executive Officer of Caring Cooks of Jersey, Lauren Perchard-Rees, Chief Executive of Macmillan Jersey, and Vini Jones, General Manager of Grace Trust Jersey.

Commenting on the final webinar in the series, Kevin Keen said: “Over the past two years, we’ve seen charities having to adapt at a pace they have likely not experienced before and, as we look into 2022 and beyond, change and evolution will undoubtedly continue to be key watchwords for the sector. Charities will need to continue to be nimble, ready to adapt and understand how the world around them is changing to be able to continue to support the community effectively.

“As an organisation, the AJC is focused on showing leadership and championing best practice within the third sector, and it’s fitting that in our final anniversary Charity Insights webinar, our panel of experts will be looking to the future to help shine a light on what’s on the horizon for local charities.”
