Trading Underwriter
We are looking for an experienced Underwriting Manager to join a leading Insurance Firm. This role will be responsible for ensuring that underwriting standards align with the company’s profitability and growth goals.
As an Underwriter, the successful candidate will develop a business pipeline with brokers, secure new business, and foster strong relationships to enhance operational efficiency. They will also ensure that timely sales and customer service information is produced, highlighting key trends and risks. Additionally, the candidate will oversee projects to meet performance targets and contribute to the company’s reputation for excellent service.
Key competencies required include leadership, teamwork, dependability, customer focus, and personal effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of managing teams, driving continuous improvement, and delivering results in a customer-focused, performance-driven environment. A relevant professional qualification (e.g., DIP CII) is desirable, alongside at least 5 years of experience in a trading role within the general insurance industry.
