
Senior Manager Marketing and Communications

Overview
The Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications is a new role which will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and market presence of Skipton International. The job holder will lead the strategic development and execution of marketing and communication initiatives, with a particular focus on growth and brand identity. This role involves overseeing all marketing activities and budgets, including developing a marketing strategy, PR and communications activity, campaign management, digital marketing, content creation and market research.
Key accountabilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies to support Skipton International’s growth objectives
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth
- Oversee the creation and distribution of marketing content across various channels.
- Lead on communication activities including media relations, stakeholder communications, crisis and reputation management and regulatory and compliance communications, working with Skipton Building Society where required to ensure consistency
- Manage and comply with all relevant additional policies that apply to this role
Qualifications and skills
Essential:
- CIM Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing or Digital Marketing, or an equivalent marketing qualification
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive growth
- Experience with brand management and executing a brand refresh
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships both within the team and the wider business in order to achieve objectives
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, social media, and data analytics
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Experience in leading marketing teams and managing substantial budgets
