SUMMARY:Artist Takeover: Make Your Mark by The Stoodio
DESCRIPTION:Help transform ArtHouse Jersey at Capital House into one large, collective artwork with Jersey artists Hayley Gibaut and Sophie Harris, known together as The Stoodio. Make Your Mark invites visitors of all ages and abilities to draw, paint, make, build, write and experiment. No previous artistic experience is needed, and every contribution will help shape the exhibition.\nAlongside drop-in opportunities, a programme of workshops and creative sessions will explore experimental painting, graffiti, cardboard sculpture, movement, sound, fabric and sensory art, with guest collaborators including artist Emilie Knight and DJ David Gaspar. The gallery will evolve as people add their ideas and respond to each other’s work, giving returning visitors something different to discover.\nTake part from Wednesday 14 October to Sunday 1 November, including the October half-term, then return to see the completed artwork from Tuesday 3 to Sunday 8 November. The exhibition takes place at ArtHouse Jersey at Capital House, 8 Church Street, St Helier, with opening hours of 12pm to 6pm, closed Mondays. Make Your Mark is part of ArtHouse Jersey’s New Work Programme, sponsored by Coutts Crown Dependencies.\n
