SUMMARY:Summer Reading Challenge: Super Sign-Up Saturday
DESCRIPTION:Jersey Library will launch The Reading Agency’s nationwide 2026 Summer Reading Challenge: Read to the Beat! with a Super Sign-Up day on Saturday 27 June from 9am to 5.30pm.\nFamilies across Jersey are encouraged to join the biggest reading adventure of the year. On Super Sign-up Day, the Town Library will be transformed into a magical space full of music, creativity and stories and will include themed activities such as:\n\n10am – The Blind Poet – Dave Steele, in partnership with Eyecan\n11am – JMS Jazz Combo\nCraft activities in the Children’s Library\n\n\nAll activities are free and there is no need to book. Children who visit the library on Super Sign-up Day to register for the free Challenge will also receive a free swim pass for AquaSplash.\nChildren can still sign-up throughout the holidays at Jersey Library, Communicare Library, or the Mobile Library.\nAll children who read at least three books before Saturday 19 September 2026 will receive a free swim pass for AquaSplash. This means children who register on the launch day can receive up to two free swim passes. All swim passes must be redeemed before 1 October 2026.\nChief Librarian, Ed Jewell, said: “Super Sign-Up Saturday is all about igniting children’s excitement for reading right from the start of the summer holidays. We’re excited to welcome families to our library and help imaginations bloom as part of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge!”\n
