SUMMARY:Children and Family Services Fun Day
DESCRIPTION:The States of Alderney are pleased to welcome representatives from the States of Guernsey’s Children and Family Community Services team, who will be hosting a series of information sessions on the island on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th June.\nA community-focused event will take place on Saturday 13th June at the Island Hall, where services will be present in person in a more informal, table-top format.\nThe event will take on a family fun day format, with activities for children including a raffle, face painting and live music, alongside refreshments. Residents, families and young people are encouraged to attend, meet service providers, and find out more in a relaxed and welcoming setting.\nA spokesperson for the States of Alderney said: “The States of Alderney are delighted to support the information events that the Children and Family Community Services Team are holding here in Alderney on the 12th and 13th June. We have been working collaboratively with the team to develop a pilot here in Alderney  that will provide access to these support services through a resource centre that will be opened in association with the Youth Services Commission in QEII Street.\n“We hope that this service will be well used and that the services offered will expand over time, improving access for our community to the full range of support available through Health and Social Care services.\n“We would encourage everyone involved with children and young people to attend the public event on 13th June at the Island Hall. Everyone is welcome, and there will be activities to keep children entertained.”\nThis visit forms part of a wider programme of collaboration between the States of Alderney and the States of Guernsey.\n
