DESCRIPTION:The Big Ride Out 2026 will take place on Sunday 24 May, bringing hundreds of bikers together for one of Jersey’s best-known charity rides in support of Holidays for Heroes Jersey.\nStarting at St Catherine’s Breakwater at 11am, riders will travel across the Island to Corbière before finishing at the Watersplash, with spectators expected to line the route throughout the day.\nOrganised with the support of local biker clubs and in coordination with the Island’s Constables and Chefs de Police, the annual event raises funds to support respite breaks for injured service personnel, veterans and their families.\nTickets are available exclusively from Offshore Bike Bits (OBB) for a minimum donation of £10 (cash only). Due to limited capacity and the popularity of the event, organisers are encouraging riders to secure tickets in advance. Only motorcycles displaying official event stickers will be permitted to take part in the ride.\n“This is a fantastic event for Holidays for Heroes, enjoyed by riders and spectators alike,” said Richard Harwood, organiser of the Big Ride Out and former Chair of Holidays for Heroes Jersey. “It’s always an incredible sight seeing so many bikes come together for such a great cause. Tickets are likely to sell out in advance, so we’d encourage riders to secure theirs early – only bikes with official event stickers will be able to take part in the ride.”\nThis year’s event is being supported by Islands Insurance Group, which will also host a prize draw on the day, giving ticketholders the opportunity to win up to £400 towards a motorcycle insurance policy.\n“The Big Ride Out is a leading Jersey fixture that draws participants and spectators out in droves,” said Tim Brangwyn, Managing Director at Islands Insurance Group. “Not only is it a great day out but it shines a spotlight on Holidays for Heroes that does incredible work for the veterans that gave so much and their families.
