SUMMARY:Bailiwick Commission public meeting
DESCRIPTION:The States of Alderney are inviting residents to come along, meet members of the Bailiwick Commission, and be part of an important conversation about the future of the Bailiwick.\nDuring their upcoming visit to the island, the Commission will be holding two public sessions, offering islanders the chance to hear more about their work, ask questions, and share their views:\n\nA public meeting on Friday 1 May, from 19:15 to 20:15 at the Island Hall (this meeting will also be live streamed and recorded for those unable to attend)\nA public drop-in session on Saturday 2 May, from 10:30 to 11:15 in the Anne French Room\n\nThree Commissioners – Sir Bob Neill KC (pictured), Dr Caroline Morris and Philip Rycroft CB – will be in attendance. They will give a short introduction to the Commission and, importantly, are keen to listen to the experiences, perspectives and ideas of the Alderney community.\nSince its launch in March 2026, the Commission has made it a priority to visit each of the Bailiwick’s islands and engage directly with local communities. These visits are about understanding what matters most to islanders and building a clearer picture of how the Bailiwick works in practice.\nWhether you have a specific question, a view to share, or simply want to better understand what the Commission is doing, all residents are encouraged to attend.\n
