DESCRIPTION:The countdown has officially begun for the 2026 Rubis Jersey International Motoring Festival, returning from Wednesday 3rd June to Sunday 7th June 2026, promising five unforgettable days of high-octane action, automotive heritage, and family entertainment.\nRecognised as one of the largest and most exciting motoring events in the Channel Islands, the festival will once again transform St Helier into a vibrant celebration of motoring culture, bringing together local motorsports, iconic vehicles, and enthusiasts from Jersey and overseas.\nIn an exciting new addition for 2026, the festival will begin with a special launch event in the heart of town. This opening celebration will feature a parade of the public’s favourite vehicles from the festival, with a stunning selection of cars, motorcycles, and historic machines making their way through the streets of St Helier.\nFrom legendary classics to modern performance icons, the parade is designed to bring the festival atmosphere directly to the island community and visitors alike, creating a spectacular visual showcase and a truly memorable start to the event.\nFive Days of Action and Entertainment\nThe 2026 festival programme will deliver a diverse and dynamic itinerary:\n\nWednesday 3rd June – Festival Launch Day: The festival opens with the brand-new Town Centre Launch Event, featuring dynamic vehicle showcases, and the inaugural Parade of Favourite Vehicles through St Helier.\nThursday 4th June – JIMF Rolling Roadshow: A motorsport & automotive heritage celebration with demonstration runs of classic and modern vehicles from clubs that form the islands motoring community, as well as high speed motorsport demonstrations from notable competitors in Jersey’s rich and diverse motorsport scene. They’ll also be joined by visiting world famous racing cars and bikes from across the history of International motorsport.\nFriday 5th June – The Moonlight Sprint: Competitive motorsport takes centre stage on Friday as drivers tackle Jersey’s thrilling Victoria avenue course at speeds over 100mph under the setting sun for the Moonlight sprint. With Pit-side access and a number of food and drink stalls on the lower park, adding to the spectacle.\nSaturday 6th & Sunday 7th June: On Saturday and Sunday, Peoples Park will host a vibrant festival hub, offering local food and drink, live music, and entertainment for all ages. The Lower Park will feature static displays of classic, vintage, and modern cars and motorcycles alongside a number of stands from local businesses, charities and Clubs. Hillclimb Action also begins on Saturday and runs until Sunday afternoon with the Westmount Hillclimb. This sees cars and motorcycles fight for the fastest times, wrapping around the Peoples park and snaking between the trees before re-emerging above St. Helier across the flying finish. Spectators are treated to a number of locations to spectate as well as open access to the Pitlane.\nSunday 7th June – Grand Finale: The festival concludes with a spectacular finale with the Active arena demonstration laps showcasing celebrations of local motorsport culture, with displays from Kart- racers as young as 6 to champions of local racing, rounding off five extraordinary days of motoring action with a display to remember.\n\nBeyond the motorsport, the Jersey International Motoring Festival offers something for all visitors:\n\nFamily-friendly attractions\nLocal club stands to engage with the community\nStatic vehicle displays\nLive music entertainment\nLocal food and drink stands\n\nOne of the festival’s organisers, Alex Salmon, expressed his excitement for the upcoming edition of the event: “The 2026 Jersey International Motoring Festival will build on everything people love about the event, while introducing new experiences that bring the festival closer to the public than ever before.
