SUMMARY:JET Jaunt 2026: Race to Rome
DESCRIPTION:The Jersey Employment Trust will hold its third charity challenge inspired by the hit TV show Race Across the World in 2026, and this time it is going to Rome.\nThe JET Jaunt, sponsored by CSC, sees teams of two race from A to B, using only public transport.\nJET fundraising lead Georgia Hodgson said: “The two Jaunts so far have taken participants to Monaco and to Prague. In 2026 the destination is Rome and it will take slightly longer, so there is an extra day to cover the miles and tick off the challenges and the checkpoints. The 26 teams taking part in the 2025 Jaunt raised £27,000, so we would love to surpass that this year.\n“The Jaunt is a great way to challenge yourself, think on the hoof, and see how you and your team-mate cope with the added pressure of a race. For most of us these days, we travel with quite a fixed itinerary. This throws that out of the window. You never know what we might ask you to do along the way.\n“We hope that 35 teams sign up. It will be one shared experience but 35 different journeys. In 2025 we had people boarding the wrong train, getting off a stop early, broken bike chains, and one brave couple who didn’t use their smartphones.\n“We are grateful to sponsors CSC, as well as the continued support of Ports of Jersey and All Island Media. We are again working with travel experts Lupine Travel, who put together the detail of the checkpoints and challenges.”\nNicola Giraud, CSC Channel Islands Managing Director, said: “At CSC, we believe in building a better tomorrow – for our people, our clients, and the communities we’re privileged to serve.
