SUMMARY:Jack and the Beanstalk to take over Jersey Opera House this Christmas
DESCRIPTION:Jersey Opera House is delighted to announce that it will produce its first professional pantomime as part of its Christmas programme, with the classic family favourite Jack and the Beanstalk  running from Friday 18 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027.\nCo-produced with the award-winning Evolution Productions, this spectacular pantomime has been written by Paul Hendy (The Last Laugh, West End and Jersey Opera House). Known for their bespoke pantomimes and high production standards, Evolution Productions have won the prestigious ‘Pantomime of the Year’ at the UK Pantomime Awards on five occasions.\nThis production adds an exciting new professional strand to Jersey’s long-established pantomime tradition, broadening the Island’s festive theatre offer while sitting alongside the much-loved community and amateur productions presented locally each year. Audiences can expect a spectacular, family-friendly show packed with music, comedy and theatrical magic.\nSebastian Warrack, CEO of Jersey Opera House, said: “Bringing a professional pantomime to Jersey Opera House for the first time is incredibly exciting and marks another important step in our future. Pantomime is a much-loved theatrical tradition, and working with Evolution Productions allows us to deliver something truly special for Island audiences, while also creating meaningful professional opportunities for local performers.”\nRebecca Stanier, Programme Manager of Jersey Opera House, said: “When planning our Christmas programme, it was important to broaden the range of work that audiences can enjoy at the Opera House.
