SUMMARY:Cyber Security Law Workshop: Digital Sector
DESCRIPTION:A workshop for people in the energy and water subsectors to shape the guidance for the Cyber Security (Jersey) Law 2026.\nNow that the Law has been approved by the States Assembly, it will come into effect later in 2026, and will require Operators of Essential Services (OES) to take specific actions.\nUnder the Law, Operators of Essential Services will be required to:\n\nRegister as an OES with JCSC\nPut in place appropriate cyber security measures\nReport any significant cyber incidents to Jersey Cyber Security Centre within 24 hours of becoming aware of them, including key information\n\nAhead of the Law coming into force, JCSC will produce guidance to help OES understand and meet these requirements. This workshop is designed to help shape that guidance.\nDuring the workshop, attendees will have the chance to:\n\nLearn more about what the Law does (and does) not do\nDiscuss and develop guidance specific to this sector\nRaise issues that affect this sector\n\n
