DESCRIPTION:This training is beneficial for all members and non-members.\nAbout the Presenters\nGareth Fookes is a CIMA qualified accountant since 2007. Gareth moved to the States of Guernsey in 2023 and has led the final stages of the transition to IPSAS compliant accounts, alongside leading the States-wide finance team. Prior to this, Gareth was a CFO for 10 years. This included telecoms and energy businesses serving the Channel Islands and Isle of Man, and a telecoms business in Kuwait, in both public and private ownership.\nLouise Reeves has over 25 years of experience in the finance sector, gained both locally and in London. Since qualifying as an FCCA in 2006, she has held senior strategic positions across accounting firms and corporate service providers. Louise joined the States of Guernsey in January 2025. In 2018, Louise achieved the IoD Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction.\nBrief Synopsis of Presentation\n\nA very brief overview of the key metrics in the 2024 Group Financial Statements to give some context.
