DESCRIPTION:ArtHouse Jersey is delighted to announce the full schedule of free weekend events to accompany Bubbletecture, the joyful and immersive public art installation coming to the heart of St Helier from Thursday 28 August to Sunday 14 September 2025.\nPresented as part of the Butterfield Public Arts Series, and delivered in partnership with Jersey Development Company (JDC), Bubbletecture will transform the IFC2 site on the Esplanade into a vibrant outdoor cultural space. The centrepiece is Evanescent by internationally acclaimed Sydney-based artists Atelier Sisu, a series of giant, rainbow-reflecting iridescent ‘bubbles’ that rise up to eight metres tall, shifting in appearance as the light changes throughout the day.\nNow, ArtHouse Jersey is proud to present a rich and inclusive programme of weekend events alongside the artwork, designed to engage audiences of all ages\nand interests, all completely free, unticketed, and open to everyone.\nWeekend Event Programme\nYoga with The Island Yoga Project\nBreathe, stretch and find your zen… ArtHouse Jersey teams up with The Island Yoga Project for the first time to offer gentle, inclusive outdoor yoga sessions set within the magical Bubbletecture landscape. These general-level flow classes are suitable for everyone, from seasoned yogis to curious beginners, and provide a restorative moment to reconnect with your body, breath, and surroundings in an uplifting, supportive atmosphere.\n\nSaturday 13 September, 12:00–13:00\nSunday 14 September, 14:00–15:00\n\nDance by Ballet d’Jerri x Jamaal Burkmar\nA powerful new performance set among the bubbles. Audiences will be treated to an exclusive new dance piece created by award-winning choreographer Jamaal Burkmar, performed by six exceptional dancers from Jersey’s own Ballet d’Jerri. This music-led, rhythm-driven performance invites audiences to experience movement in the round, surrounded by Bubbletecture’s playful spheres, creating a powerful sense of connection and shared experience.\n\nSaturday 13 September, 17:00–17:30\nSunday 14 September, 15:30–16:00\n\nArts & Crafts with The Stoodio\nInspiring workshops for every age and ability. Join us for colourful, joy-filled creative workshops led by local arts facilitators The Stoodio. These sessions are designed to welcome everyone, from tiny hands crafting their first artwork to adults rediscovering their creative spark. Inspired by architectural forms, public space, and organic structures, participants will experiment with bubble ink mark-making, construct abstract sculptures from colourful card, and create expressive drawings and paintings. With expert guidance and plenty of encouragement, participants will leave with something handmade and heartfelt, in a setting where mess is welcome, mistakes become magic, and everyone is an artist.\n\nSunday 14 September, 12:00–13:00\n\nBubble Play with The Jersey Showman\nAn interactive adventure in a world of bubbles. Watch children’s faces light up with wonder as they step into a world of giant bubbles and hands-on play, guided by The Jersey Showman. This fully immersive experience invites little ones to be the stars of their own bubbly journey, filling the air with laughter, delight, and magical memories. A must for families looking for fun in a unique and safe environment.\n\nSaturday 13 September, 10:30–11:30\n\nMusic by Georgia Mae Bishop & Ashley Beauchamp\nOperatic excellence meets contemporary flair. Jersey-born, Brighton-based opera singer Georgia Mae Bishop returns home for a series of stunning performances accompanied by pianist Ashley Beauchamp. Expect a thrilling blend of classical technique and popular repertoire, from soaring arias to musical theatre favourites, delivered with passion and precision in a truly unique setting.\n\nSaturday 13 September, 13:30–14:00\nSunday 14 September, 11:00–11:30\n\nMusic with local DJs\nSunset sessions among the glowing bubbles.
