DESCRIPTION:The Jersey Cheshire Home Community Centre will host an awareness session on substance misuse and trauma at 2pm on Tuesday 24th June.\nLed by Ana Goodwin, Substance Misuse Officer for the Jersey Probation and Aftercare Service, the 90-minute session will explore how trauma of any kind can have a lasting impact on people’s lives and how it is often linked to substance misuse.\nTony Goodwin\nThe session aims to raise awareness of the local support services available and provide information to help those affected directly or indirectly.\nThe event is free to attend and open to anyone in the community, no booking is required.\nTony Goodwin, Deputy General Manager of Jersey Cheshire Home, said: “We’re really pleased to support events like this by hosting them at the Jersey Cheshire Home Community Centre. Raising awareness around issues such as trauma and substance misuse is important, especially when it helps people feel seen, supported and better informed. We’re proud to provide a space for open conversation and access to local expertise.”\n
