SUMMARY:Eco-printing workshop with Jo Alm
DESCRIPTION:Eco-printing is a technique that transfers the colours and shapes of plant material such as leaves, flowers, bark or seeds onto paper or cloth.\nWhen the plant material is combined with water, heat and a mordant (a substance that fixes the colour) the image of the plant is transferred onto the paper or cloth with stunning detail.\nJo Alm is also known as Jo Bastiman and was one of the artists whose work was shown in the inaugural Harbour Gallery exhibition in 2002. She has a BA (hons) in Fine Art Printmaking and has exhibited prints and mixed media paintings in Manchester, London, Jersey, France and Bangkok as well as working as a Lecturer in Art and Design at Highlands College, Jersey for over two decades.\nJo currently works as a Mental Health Instructor for Mind Jersey and also runs private art workshops and courses for adults within the community. She has previously worked as an Associate Facilitator for Jersey Recovery College, delivering Creative therapy courses and taught art at HMP La Moye and for Jersey Mencap.\n\nTea and coffee will be provided, please bring a packed lunch.\n
