DESCRIPTION:On 16 May 2025, Alderney will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the German surrender on the island with a special two-part programme presented by The Henry Euler Memorial Trust.\nHighlights include visits by the restored H.M.S. Medusa (pictured) and living history group Force 135. A commemorative service will be held at Braye Harbour where Brigadier A.E. Snow and Force 135 came ashore in 1945, a week after VE Day.
