SUMMARY:Collaging family workshop – morning session
DESCRIPTION:Inspired by Kirstie’s MAPS workshop delivered to Rouge Bullion School, this workshop will focus on creating unique textures using various media, such as watercolors, inks, and oil pastels. Participants will explore the world of beetles through collage, creating unique pieces inspired by their forms and characteristics.\nKirstie Fulton\n“I am a BA Textile design grad (Royal Academy of Art, The Hague) turned graphic designer (MA, Falmouth). Inspired by nature, I collage illustrations – starting out with Jersey wildlife, now featuring creatures from all around the globe. Animal collages are my passion and I am excited to showcase my newest work at my upcoming Pop Up exhibition! I hope to inspire people to get creative by what they see in their environment.”\nMAPS is an island wide project that seeks to build partnerships between professional artists and local schools. MAPS artist educators have devised and delivered unique art projects to twenty eight schools. Each of the artists brought with them a strong foundation in art & design and a commitment to their own creative practice which allowed them to share skills, knowledge and a passion for the visual arts to the classroom.\nDuring the summer months the artists and teachers were asked to explore paper through a series of workshops where they took the role as students. This process provided an opportunity to experiment with new techniques, explore the curriculum and encouraged participants reflect on the process of learning.\n
