SUMMARY:Granite games 2.0 – Bigger and better!
DESCRIPTION:Granite Fit Gym has announced the return of its Granite Games this summer, the ultimate test of strength, power, endurance and agility.\nLast year’s inaugural Granite Games saw athletes competing in various events testing all areas of their fitness.\nTaking place from 28th – 29th June at Footes Lane, contenders will compete in events across the four categories.\nIndividuals and teams will earn points throughout the challenges before the competition culminates in a final gauntlet showdown.\nThe Gauntlet is a course inspired by mixed domain events of the weekend.\nJosh Ozanne, director of Granite Fit Gym, said: “We are thrilled to bring back the Granite Games, especially in a year that we have big development plans for the gym itself. Last year was a good trial run, but this year we want to go even bigger and encourage people to test their abilities and try something new.\n“It is the best test for individual fitness and pushing limits as the four competitive categories will suit competitors from every background. We are grateful to have support from lots of local businesses to make it the best weekend for everyone.”\n2024 Granite Games winner, Andrew Davitt (pictured), will return to the event this year, but in a new role as the main sponsor representing his business, Llama Property Works.\n‘It is a great event that truly brings people together, motivating everyone to show off their skills and get out of their comfort zones. I am really looking forward to this summer and I’m excited to work with Josh and team to put on a good show for all,’ Andrew said.\nEach event in the Games will be announced on 15th March during a live event at Granite Fit Gym, allowing people to see the start of the gym’s major expansion and refurbishment in Lowlands Estate.\n
