SUMMARY:Wild: Pop-up exhibition
DESCRIPTION:This Easter, islanders are being encouraged to take a walk on the wild side, by visiting Jersey Zoo’s latest pop-up exhibition, ‘Wild’.\nOpening on Saturday 29 March at Durrell’s Discovery Centre, visitors will have a chance to see some of Britain’s wildlife up close, whilst also learning more about their precious habitats.\nFrom high peaks and valleys to meandering rivers and powerful seas, see how animals have adapted to live and thrive in the various environments of the British Isles. Visitors will get to see specimens and models of different species, including the red fox, gannet, great crested newts and Atlantic salmon.\nAs well as learning more about these animals, the interactive exhibition will also feature ‘Discovery Hill’, an area where visitors can immerse themselves in the different sounds of British wildlife, a puppet theatre and a fancy-dress area for children.\nSpeaking about ‘Wild’, Director of Communications & Fundraising at Durrell, Alexandra Shears commented: “We are really excited to welcome visitors at Jersey Zoo to our latest exhibition ‘Wild’. Britain is home to some fascinating animals and insects, many of which are often overlooked or misunderstood. This exhibition gives you the chance to learn more about the precious species living on our doorsteps, whilst also hopefully inspiring the future generation of conservationists and scientists.”\nThe exhibition will run until Sunday 27 April and will be open daily from 9:30-17:00. Booking tickets is not required and entry is free for Durrell members. Normal admissions apply for non-members.\n
