DESCRIPTION:Get ready to move!\nOn 2nd March 2025, Guernsey will join the rest of the UK in celebrating Let’s Dance, a new national campaign spearheaded by Angela Rippon CBE.\nDance teachers across the UK are opening their doors to everyone, and Guernsey is joining in with this movement. Although small in size, Guernsey boasts a vibrant dance community with remarkable achievements with notable success from Islanders including achievements on the West End, at the Dance World Cup and Tony Award nominations.\nThe Let’s Dance initiative is supported by leading organisations including the Council for Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre, the Sport and Recreation Alliance, Intelligent Health, Age UK, and many others. Through the Let’s Dance initiative, dance is being championed as an activity that promotes health, combats loneliness, and brings joy to people of all ages and abilities.\nLet’s Dance in Guernsey\nOn 2nd March from 2-6pm, the David Ferguson Hall at Beau Sejour will be at the heart of the action. Community dance groups and traditional dancers will come together to celebrate the joy of movement by offering free taster sessions and social dancing for the community.\nAll are welcome to attend and participate or spectate.\n
