SUMMARY:Our Race for Life returns in Guernsey and Sark
DESCRIPTION:The highly anticipated Bright Electrical Our Race for Life, will take place at 11am on Sunday 18th May in both Guernsey and Sark.\nThis year’s Guernsey event will take place at a new venue, Guernsey Rovers Football Club, which has allowed the organising team to use their fields and clubhouse. Participants will have the opportunity to choose between two routes: a 3km and 5km course, which will take them through the Port Soif Nature Trail and Guernsey Rovers football field. The Sark event will start from the Island Hall as previous years.\nThis event is open to individuals of all ages – women, men and children – who can walk, jog, or run with the shared goal of raising funds for Cancer Research UK – Guernsey Branch.\nOur race for life 2024 Sark\n“This event is not only a chance to get active but also an important opportunity for our community to come together and support one another in the fight against cancer. Last year, we were thrilled to have over 1,000 participants, raising an incredible £40,000 for Cancer Research UK – Guernsey Branch, which directly supports vital cancer research in Southampton,” explains Dani Barnett, lead organiser and member of the committee.\n“The experience of organising the Bright Electrical Our Race for Life is truly incredible. Bringing the community together to support one another while raising money in the fight against cancer is such an honour,” adds Dani. “It’s amazing to see so many people united for such an important cause.
