DESCRIPTION:This is the first showing of this beautiful hand crafted art on leather by Celina Borfiga.\nCelina explained: “The title of my Exhibition  ‘Out of Nowhere’ connects to the way I paint and is significant in that I have had no formal training as an artist and am self taught.\n“A process involving what I feel rather than what I see, in allowing my subconscious to take over and produce an image unique to me.\n“Moods and emotions being expressed through colour, shape and spontaneous and expressive brush strokes.\n“‘Out of Nowhere’ – this is exactly where my ideas come from. As soon as I put paint onto canvas, the process becomes spontaneous and free of any analytical thought; actually, there is no thought at all, just emotions expressed in shape and colour.”\nWe would like to welcome you to The Harbour Gallery Jersey on Thursday 20th June 6.00- 8.00pm to view the opening of the exhibition whilst enjoying a glass of wine and a buffet.\nCelina Borfiga has very kindly given us a lovely painting to put into a Silent Auction to raise funds for our managing charity Art in the Frame Foundation Jersey Charity no 21. Valued at £550 the bidding will start at £200.\nThe exhibition opening will be officially opened at 7.00pm on Thursday 20th June by Paul Coleshill CEO of BCR Law, the sponsor.\n
