DESCRIPTION:Following the publication of the 2023 States of Guernsey accounts, representatives from the States of Guernsey will give IoD members and local business leaders a unique opportunity to learn more about the details behind the latest States accounts.\nThe webinar will include presentations from Deputy Heidi Soulsby, Vice-President of the Policy & Resources Committee, the States Treasurer, Bethan Haines and Gareth Fooks, the States’ Head of Financial Reporting and Control.\nDeputy Soulsby will provide an introduction and an overview of the high level 2023 performance.\nBethan Haines will then address some of the details around revenue and expenditure; in particular public sector pay costs.\nFinally, Gareth Fooks will explain some of the changes in the 2023 Accounts compared with the previous year as part of the phased move towards aligning with International Public Sector Accounting Standards.\nThe presentations will be followed by an audience Q&A. This webinar is a valuable opportunity for attendees to gain a better understanding of the States of Guernsey’s financial performance and ask questions to those closest to the numbers.\n
