DESCRIPTION:Abundant Futures is a new long-term socially engaged project led by Dana Olărescu with ArtHouse Jersey in collaboration with contributing artists and organisations such as Dhaqan Collective, Kajaal Modi, William Bock, and Counterpoints Arts.\nFocusing on food justice, the project explores Jersey’s migrant communities’ resources, capabilities, and agency, and celebrates their diverse insights and skills from their homelands.\nFood-based workshops and activities with different communities will be run throughout the project. To provide a glimpse into the process, join Dana at the table for a hands-on inaugural workshop at Capital House. Light collective cooking will be paired with discussion on the role food plays in our lives. Is how we grow, cook, and consume a political act?\nEveryone is welcome.*Please bring an edible ingredient that reminds you of ‘home’, and let us know in advance if you have any allergies or intolerances.\n
