DESCRIPTION:The draft Cyber Security (Jersey) Law is designed to give a clear legal basis for the Jersey Cyber Security Centre (JCSC) to operate.\nIt also outlines what governance will be in place, and how the Government of Jersey will maintain oversight of the JCSC.\nIn addition, the law introduces requirements for some Operators of Essential Services to have appropriate cybersecurity measures, and report any incidents to the JCSC.\nDuring this session, attendees will:\n\nLearn what the Law contains\nHow we have responded to the results of an earlier consultation\nBe able to provide feedback on the Law\n\nIndividuals can also complete the full consultation online via the Government of Jersey website once it goes live in early March.\nPlease note: this briefing is designed for the general public, although professionals and those in the industry are welcome to attend.\n
