DESCRIPTION:February marks National Heart Month and Jersey Cheshire Home is proud to host a special Heart Awareness Day at its new Community Centre in Green Street, St. Helier.\nThe event aims to raise awareness about heart health and provide valuable resources to the community.\nTaking place on February 27 th from 14:30 to 17:00, the Heart Awareness Day provides an opportunity for attendees to engage with representatives from the Jersey Heart Support Group, who will be on hand to provide screenings and advice; and also address any questions or concerns.\nCarolina Almeida, a specialist nurse, will lead a heart awareness presentation, shedding light on crucial aspects of heart health and offering insights into prevention and management of heart-related conditions.\nSarah Jemson Registered Manager at Jersey Cheshire Home said: “We are thrilled to host this Heart Awareness Day as part of our commitment to promoting overall well-being within our community. Heart health is of paramount importance, and by providing access to screenings and expert advice, we hope to empower individuals to take proactive steps towards maintaining a healthy heart.”\nThe event is free and open to all members of the community.
