SUMMARY:2024 Bailiwick Wildlife Photography Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The 2024 Bailiwick Wildlife Photography Exhibition is running in The Greenhouse Gallery at Guernsey Museums at Candie from 26th January – 17th March from 10am – 4pm, alongside the Natural History’s Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year.\nSubmissions are open until 30th of November 2023.\nThe 2024 Bailiwick Wildlife Photography exhibition is supported this year by Guernsey Electricity’s Power to the People Fund.\nNow in its third year, local wildlife photographers have the chance to submit their most dynamic images of Bailiwick wildlife, from across Sark, Alderney, Herm and Guernsey, to feature in a large community exhibition.\nThe categories for 2024 are :\n\nBirds\nInsects\nMarine\nBailiwick Animals\nPatterns in Nature\nVideo & Film\n\nThere will be a prize given for each category as well as for the winner of the People’s Choice Award and a prize given for Young Bailiwick Wildlife Photographer of the Year.\nEach year, a Guest Judge is chosen with a category specialisation – this year we will be causing a buzz with the intricate insect macro photography of Barry Wells.\nBarry showcases the natural beauty of Guernsey through his photography, in the hope that there will be a greater appreciation of the Island’s biodiversity and the urgent need to protect local wildlife and their habitats. Barry Wells is co-founder and honorary President of The Pollinator Project, having co-founded the project in 2017 with Vanessa Crispini-Adams.\n
