With a BSc (Hons) degree in Anatomical Sciences from Dundee University, she embarked on her naval career in 1997 and quickly rose through the ranks.\nDuring her career, Rear Admiral Jude Terry has held various operational and staff roles, both at sea and on land. She has been responsible for logistics, planning, and operational support in different regions, including the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Gulf, the Caribbean, and the Far East. Her leadership was crucial in planning and executing the transition from Operation HERRICK to Operation TORAL, a complex task involving the drawdown of military capability and the closure of key bases.\nRear Admiral Terry’s achievements also include her time as a Military Assistant to the Chief of Joint Operations, where she played a pivotal role in the UK’s operational output. Her responsibilities covered critical events such as the end of HERRICK and the start and end of GRITROCK. She has also been actively involved in media relations, contributing to the Channel 4 documentary “Warship.”\nAs Rear Admiral Terry continued to excel, she assumed leadership positions such as Assistant Head Joint Plans and Deputy Director People, demonstrating her expertise in personnel management and strategic planning. Her contributions to the Integrated Review, Spending Review, and other budgetary cycles highlight her dedication to ensuring the Royal Navy’s effectiveness and sustainability.\nIn addition to the inspiring insights into leadership, we are proud to announce that this event will also raise money for the Healing Waves charity.
