DESCRIPTION:On 25 September, it will be eight years since the world adopted the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The need for action on the Goals is now greater than ever.\nTo raise awareness of the SDGs and showcase your organisation’s contributions, you are invited to be part of a global movement working together for the Sustainable Development Goals.\nStarting from September 2nd, the picturesque coastline of Jersey will transform into a canvas of awareness as the exhibition boards showcasing information about each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With only 1 in 10 familiar with the UN SDGs, this initiative aims to bring these global goals into the public spotlight, fostering education, engagement, and action within the community.\nJoin the Movement on September 25th in St Helier\nThe campaign will culminate in the heart of St Helier on September 25th, coinciding with the United Nations Global Compact SDG Flag Day. An informative talk from Michelle Ryan, Chair of Jersey Association of Sustainable Practitioners (JASP) and Hilary Jeune, Energy & Climate Change Minister, will take place including an engaging Q&A session, scheduled from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM to provide a comprehensive understanding of the SDGs, their significance to Jersey and our islands sustainable development. The precise location of the event will be announced shortly, but it is guaranteed to be centrally located and easily accessible.\nBest of all, this event is open to everyone, and there is no cost for attendance.\nShowcasing Commitment: Businesses and Organisations Unite\nIn tandem with the exhibition board display, a coalition of businesses and organisations across Jersey will proudly raise UN SDG Flags, demonstrating their dedication to addressing critical global challenges. These flags symbolise collective action against climate change, gender inequality, poverty, and more.\n
