SUMMARY:West Country Folk Duo ‘Show of Hands’ [sold out]
DESCRIPTION:Alderney Theatre Group is bringing the iconic West Country Folk Duo ‘Show of Hands’ to Alderney’s Island Hall on Saturday 8th July.\nThis will mark Show of Hands’ return to Alderney for the first time after 22 years – much to the delight of their devoted fans. Their last performance in the Alderney Island Hall back in 2001 was a complete sell-out. And this could well be their last show in the Channel Islands before retiring.\nSteve Knightley and Phil Beer, the dynamic duo behind Show of Hands, have been at the forefront of the folk music scene for three decades, with an impressive list of accomplishments to their name. They have driven over a million miles, played 4000 shows, and made 25 albums, including winning four BBC Folk Awards.\nShow of Hands’ music has been enjoyed by audiences worldwide, having played in over 4500 venues globally, including 30 appearances at Glastonbury and six concerts at the Royal Albert Hall.\n“We are thrilled to have Show of Hands back in the Channel Islands and performing at Alderney’s Island Hall,” said Alderney Theatre Group Chairman Lee Flewitt. “Their music is a beautiful blend of traditional folk with a modern twist, and their performances are always mesmerizing. We can’t wait to welcome them back and give our audience a night to remember.”\nTickets for Show of Hands’ performance at Alderney’s Island Hall on Saturday evening 8th July are just £15 and will be on sale from Friday 2 June at Anchors in Victoria Street or email here to reserve tickets.\n
