DESCRIPTION:An overview of the climate emergency and what organisations can do to mitigate.\nHosted by IoD ambassador Katherine Piper, this event is part of a free series enabling members to connect and discuss topics of interest. Katherine will give an overview of the climate and ecological emergency from a global perspective, with reference to influential IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) reports and COP (Conference of the Parties) outcomes. She will then open a discussion about what the business community can do to address their environmental impact, before closing with some useful resources available from the IoD and Future Leap.\nSimon will introduce Bristol City Leap, a new Joint Venture between Bristol City Council and Ameresco Inc ( an experienced energy services company) and highlight the opportunities for Bristol and South West businesses in this decarbonisation initiative.\n
