SUMMARY:Ageing Well: Opportunities, Challenges and Future Directions Conference
DESCRIPTION:Family Nursing and Home Care are hosting an ‘Ageing Well: Opportunities, Challenges and Future Directions’. Conference in June to facilitate discussions in relation to the opportunities, challenges and future directions of ageing well in the island community.\nThis year’s Conference is for anyone who provides support and care for Islanders. If you have an interest in the concept of ageing well and how you can influence and promote improved outcomes for our ageing community, this event is for you.\nThe Conference will take place Thursday 15th June 2023 at the Pomme D’Or hotel between 08:30 and 17:00.\nFamily Nursing and Home Care (FNHC) has engaged a range of guest speakers and providers to highlight and explore the latest research to ensure we are enabling our island population to age well. Throughout the day attendees will hear from these guest speakers and participate in a series of workshops. Speakers include:\n\nDr Anna Dixon – Strategy, governance and policy consultant\nAnn Morgan – Falls and frailty project lead\nProfessor Peter Bradley – Director of Public Health\nRoy Lilley – former NHS Trust chairman and health policy analyst, writer, broadcaster and commentator\nStephanie Craig – PhD Researcher and Registered Nurse\nWendy Buckley – Interim CEO Dementia Jersey\n\nThe workshops will be hosted by:\n\nPaul Simmonds from Age Concern Jersey\nVic Tanner Davy from Liberate\nDr Patricia Tumelty from MIND\nClaudia Andrade from Move More Jersey\n\nFNHC’s ethos is to help Islanders start well, live well and age well.\nRosemarie Finley, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FNHC commented: “The Ageing Well: Opportunities, Challenges and Future Directions Conference is the perfect event for local providers and healthcare staff to explore the topic of ageing well.
