SUMMARY:Jersey Association of Sustainability Practitioners (JASP) launch
DESCRIPTION:The launch of the Jersey Association of Sustainability Practitioners (JASP) will be celebrated at the industry body’s inaugural event, at which Jersey’s Environment Minister, Deputy Jonathan Renouf, will be guest speaker.\nJASP was co-founded by nine local businesses with the aim of providing a forum through which businesses can collaborate, share experience and best practice and to learn from each other to further the sustainability agenda. It is hoped that the not-for-profit industry body will help to foster partnerships between people working, living and learning about sustainability.\nCo-founder and Chair of JASP, Michelle Ryan of True Limited, conceived the idea as she found that sustainability colleagues and industry clients were all asking for the same thing: “As a sustainability practitioner, I found the sustainability community to be naturally collaborative and open.  I found however that our sustainability colleagues and wider industry clients were all asking for the same thing; a forum to collaborate, share experience and best practice and to learn from each other to further the sustainability agenda. It was with this goal in mind that the founder members formed JASP – the Jersey Association of Sustainability Practitioners.\n“We’re pleased to bring this association to life with our passion for sustainability and our commitment to accelerating the pace and scale of action on this issue.  We look forward to seeing colleagues, clients and passionate sustainable business champions on the 16th March to share our vision for the association and how you might get involved,” added Michelle.\nJASP’s members come from a diverse range of businesses. Founding members include: Michelle Ryan of True, Alison Cambray of PwC, Nick Perchard-Rees of Sunworks, Ed Prow of Uniti, Natasha Hughes of True, Sarah Carre of People Planet Company, Sheena Brockie of The Good Jersey Life, Amy King of Elixirr and Philip Faure of Paragon Impact.\nThe free event takes place on Thursday 16th March at 8:30am at the Digital Jersey Hub and will see Jersey’s Environment Minister, Deputy Jonathan Renouf discuss his ministerial priorities and where he sees the industry heading over his term of office.\n\nThe main picture shows, left to right, The JASP General Committee, Michelle Ryan, Chair, Sarah Carre, Head of Memberships, Nick Perchard-Rees, Acting Head of Marketing and Events and Alison Cambray, Vice-Chair.\n
