DESCRIPTION:Jersey Finance has announced details for a Diamond Jubilee Ball to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Jersey’s international financial services industry on Friday 8th July 2022 at the Royal Jersey Showground.\nDeloitte has been announced as the headline Diamond Sponsor of the event, for which tickets are now available via the Jersey Finance website. Co-sponsors of the event, which was postponed from its original date in 2021, are Bedell Cristin, Pershing, and Stonehage Fleming.\nProceeds from sponsorship, ticket sales, and fund-raising activity on the night, will be donated to the Association of Jersey Charities (AJC), the representative body of charitable organisations operating in Jersey. This forms part of Jersey Finance’s partnership with the AJC, which also marked a milestone anniversary last year, and a pledge to raise £60,000 for the charitable sector in honour of the 60th anniversary of the island’s finance industry.\nThe black-tie event will feature top-class entertainment and a high-profile host, as well as a mouth-watering dining experience. It will be an occasion for finance industry professionals, key partners of Jersey Finance, and representatives from charities, the Government and the wider community to celebrate the achievements of the past 60 years and to look forward to the island’s future.\nCommenting on the event, CEO of Jersey Finance Joe Moynihan said: “The Diamond Jubilee Ball will be a really special occasion for us all, allowing us to come together to celebrate a milestone achievement for Jersey’s international financial services industry. We’re proud to be working with the Association of Jersey Charities on our campaign to raise £60,000 to help make a difference to worthy local causes, and we’re grateful to our diamond sponsor Deloitte for their support in helping us to achieve this goal.”\nPartner at Deloitte in Jersey, Siobhan Durcan, said: “We are thrilled to be supporting this hugely prestigious event, marking Jersey’s position as an established finance jurisdiction.
