SUMMARY:Guernsey’s sustainable finance week [updated]
DESCRIPTION:Guernsey’s third Sustainable Finance Week has been confirmed and will take place 20th-23rd September.\nThe event is hosted by We are Guernsey and Guernsey Green Finance. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever, taking place in Guernsey as an entirely in-person event. Due to the pandemic the 2021 event was a hybrid of in-person and digital, with speakers joining panel sessions from locations around the world.\nWe are Guernsey Head of Sustainable Finance Stephanie Glover (pictured) said: “This event has grown each year and we are delighted to be in a position to host an entire event on-island, and invite international sustainable finance experts to experience the very best of Guernsey. Last year was a huge success and we had an extremely high calibre of speakers from the sustainable finance space and we look forward to building on what we learned in 2021.”\nIn 2018 Guernsey launched the world’s first regulated green fund regime and since then has developed several other world-first achievements across the finance industry’s core disciplines.\nThe three key discussion points will be biodiversity, the energy transition, and carbon pricing and markets. The event will host market leading keynote speakers and informative panel sessions, an opportunity to network with allocators, managers and providers of capital, leading international figures in sustainability and private wealth and investment fund owners, and insurance practitioners.\nThese sessions will be supplemented with a number of diverse fringe events hosted by the Guernsey finance community. Sustainable Finance Week is also an opportunity for us to showcase the very best that the island has to offer, and during the week we will be inviting attendees to experience the rich natural environment in Guernsey.\n
